Pathway
A mentorship platform that connects students with international mentors. It began as a team project at the WTUN programme in the UK and raised £10,000 in seed funding.
Where it started
At the first WTUN workshop in Bradford, our team noticed the same pattern across countries: students who want to study or work abroad rarely know anyone who has done it. Eduvice solved this in Thailand. Pathway asks what happens if the mentor can be anywhere.
How it came together
- Feb 2025 · Bradford, UK
Formed the team and framed the problem with students from member universities.
- Mar – May 2025 · Validation
Interviewed students and potential mentors across our home countries between workshops.
- Jun 2025 · Beijing, China
Pitched the refined model and won the programme.
- After · Seed round
Raised £10,000 from the University of Bradford, WTUN, Santander and an independent investor.
Lessons
Running a team across time zones made us write everything down. Async by default turned out to be a feature, not a cost.
